Can my ticket get thrown out because there is no signature in the Radar Officer box on the ticket?

My Speeding ticket said R/O observed and measured the speed. There is no signature in the Radar Officer box. Only signature is the arresting officer.

No, you likely cannot win on that. Indeed, there probably isn't event an RO (aka recording officer). That box is used when two officers are involved in a car stop. One sees the offense such as speeding and radios ahead to a second officer who stops the vehicle and issued the ticket. This practice is sometimes call using a "pitcher and catcher" is not widely used. In any event, the omission for a R/O signature probably won't help you. There may be other ways to win the case, feel free to send me the ticket for a free ticket review. Matthew Weiss 212-683-7373 www.nytrafficticket.com
