After a Foreclosure, can the 6 month period to file a Petition to establish Fair Market be extended?

I was given a Stipulation to extend the 6 month period for another 6 months, the Stipulation was presented to me about 5 1/2 months into the first 6 month period. I was told that if I did not sign, they would be forced to go after the deficiency judgment imediately. I signed it and it was filed with the Court. Is it enforceable?

Parties to an action can agree to many things and the court will generally respect the wishes of the parties if they are in concensus (stipulate). Your signature on the document is likely enforceable but you'll want to get an opinion from a local attorney. You should also have counsel regarding the deficiency issues - it will greatly strengthen your position to have the entire matter resolved. Good luck. Evan A. Nielsen 1255 W.
