I heard that I could ignore it, is that true?

Appear and do not ignore anything issued to you by law enforcement. Good luck.

Although at least one jurisdiction has given up on photo enforcement, others continue to enforce it rigorously. However, there is some case-law relating to foundation of evidence that may prove useful in your defense. Hire an attorney experienced in this area of the law. I would strongly urge you to not ignore the ticket. My colleagues are correct in stating that camera enforcement is banned. I hope you found my answer helpful.

It depends on a number of factors. My office fights these tickets on behalf of clients on a regular basis with quite a large number of not guilty findings. Each case is different. Is the vehicle registered to you? Was the ticket sent to you or someone else? Is the picture clear? Are there other vehicles that could have blocked your view etc. However, ignoring the ticket is not a good move.
