What happens if I lost my job and cannot pay the rent?

In October I lost my source of income. I covered novembers rent but I will not have money for december. When I get a notice from the landlord what will happen? Can I get time to pay and find a job?

Many Judges will try to get the landlord to settle on waiting for you for some time before moving to trial. If you have been a good tenant in the past, you are hard to come by, and your landlord will want to hold on to you as well.

You either have to work something out with the landlord or prepare for eviction proceedings.
