If the person at fault does not respond to the insurance company within 30 days what will happen?

I was stopped at a light turning right and a girl ran into the back of me. The police came and filed a report, I reported the claim to her insurance and my car was adjusted. I have been frequently calling her insurance company trying to updates on what the hold up is. They say she will not answer and of her calls or emails. I just want this to be over with. I need to get my bumper repaired. She has been avoiding the phone for 8 days.
The way it works is this: the other driver's insurance company wants to confirm from their insured how the accident occurred before they accept liability. That is the contractual obligation their insured has with them, to cooperate with their investigation. On your end, you do not have to go through her insurance carrier. You can claim under the collision coverage of your own carrier, pay the deductible, and have your vehicle repaired. Because the accident is not your fault, your premium will not increase. Your carrier will then go after the other driver's carrier to recover the repair costs and your deductible. You will not have to deal with any of that, and then you will receive a check for the deductible from your own carrier once they prevail.
