Can I move to another state while I have a misdemeanor underage drinking charge pending in the courts, after I turn 18?

I have a case pending in the state of Tennessee over a charge against me for misdemeanor underage drinking. I've had a small track record of this behavior but have since cleaned up my act. This case has been pending for several months now and today I got it pushed back to January 31st. This is 7 days before I turn 18. While I was there I had been given options by the courts for a plea bargain which I found unacceptable. As I am aware, in the state of Tennessee the juvenile court has jurisdiction over me until the age of 19. Will moving away before I find myself in court again result in the courts issuing a warrant for my arrest, and will this warrant carry over to the state I choose to live in? Is there an expiration of such a warrant? Is it in my best interest to resolve this?

You need to complete the case prior to the move if possible and make the needed arrangements to notify the Court of your plans to relocate and have any probation supervised by probation services in the new state. If this is not possible you need to inform the Court of your plans to relocate. As I am often in Court call my assistant Dan London at 312-807-3990 to set up a private telephone consultation. At the consultation we can discuss the confidential details we need to create a strategic plan. These details should not be broadcast over the Internet.
