if my assignment of mortgage was signed by some one claiming to be with mers but really works/worked for bofa is it legal and valid ?..there are 4 differnt people that signed it claiming to work for mers when they really work for bofa

Rather than seeking an an answer to this form an online forum, you should consult a lawyer in your area who is experienced in foreclosure defense. Is it possible that a problem with the signing of an assignment would make the mortgage more difficult to foreclose? Yes. Is it likely that this will be enough to get you out of the promise to pay your mortgage that you made when you bought your house? No.

Legal theories exist that allow banks to foreclose properties even if the assignment is not valid. That is why attorneys are asking to get an attorney involved. You have to know how defend against more than one legal theory.

That's precisely the problem with the do-it-yourself approach. The bank often WON'T come up with the proper paperwork and one department has no idea what the other departments are doing. That is why it is so much easier to hire an attorney who can communicate effectively with the appropriate level administrator, or better, THEIR attorney and get the relief demanded. Good luck.
