Can utilities be sued in class actions in Texas?

Class Action 2 views 1 answers
I have an accusation against a REP that was ruled against in an informal complaint at PUC. However there are many others with the same complaint and by my research it falls within Texas Deceptive Trade Practices- The question is whether utilities are shielded from class actions or not.

The Texas Supreme Court severely restricted what can ever be a class action case in Texas. One thing they look for to allow them is if everyone in the class has the same damages. Some utilities are also immunized from litigation due to "tariff agreements". Email Attorney with details for a no fee, no obligation consultation. Also, most utilities cross state lines or are out of state, so it may be Federal too.
