I'm subject to 212e and married to an American. Can I apply for a green card before fulfilling 2 years? I won't move before.

I got a Fulbright grant and my 2 years residency requirement end March 2016. My husband is american. I wish to know if I can begin my green card process now or if I shall wait until 2016 (I live in my home country and I am not moving to the US before March 2016).

Your husband can file I-130 Petition and it takes around 6 months to get it approved and then second step with NVC will start, by the time your interview comes, your 2 years will be complete.

You can begin any time. You don't need to wait for the 2 yrs to begin the process. However, it's a good idea to time it so that your interview is scheduled after the 2 yrs are completed. Good luck!

No, 'you' can't begin the greencard process. But, your husband can start things by filing an I-130 ... delaying your DS-260 greencard application until after March 2016. Why not get an attorney on your team? Many of us use Skype.

Your husband can begin no to file for you to return as an immigrant by filing the I-130. Once approved, the immigrant petition will go through the NVC process, and then finally to have the consular interview set. You must not have the interview at the Consulate prior to completion of 2 full years in home residence country.
