How many days in advance must a bank post the Notice of Trustee Sale in public records before selling the home?

In the case for a property that has multiple trustee sale dates (multiple cancellations with rescheduled dates), does the bank need to give proper notice for each sale? Or can they just give proper notice for one sale date, cancel the sale at the court house and then sell the property at another time without proper notice? I'm in California, I've read that it's usually 20 days notice but wasn't sure how that applies to a property with multiple sale dates.

It depends on the reason for the postponement. If court order or injunction, sale has to be postponed at least 7 days. Announcement only has to be made at original place and time of sale. The response does not form an attorney-client relationship, nor is it intended to be anything other than the educated opinion of the author. It should not be relied upon as legal advice.
