Its from a wedding ring i bought 4 years ago, SOL is 5 years in Idaho. i dont have crap to pay them with, so im wondering what options i have, i cant afford a lawyer, im scared of bankruptcy and i hate the idea of paying someone full amount who just bought my debt for less than a penny on the dollar.
Do you still have the ring you purchased? Items purchased on a store credit card are often considered "secured" by the purchasing agreement. In my experience defendants that defend themselves lose over 90% of the time. Fashion some defense the best you can without a lawyer. But...........prepare to have a judgment entered and a hit on your credit rating, loss of credit position etc....

You can hire attorney go to legal aid, negotiate yourself, or accept a default judgment. The fact that the timing is bad for you is unfortunate.
