What action can I take to recover damages? I almost lost my home and lost rent on a commercial building and my health etc.

An attorney filed a law suit against me in behalf of a creditor, they felt that they were entitled to monies awarded to me for back rent and damages. They filed Lis Penden on my home and commercial property. I am losing rent on this commercial property. In addition, the attorney called the mortgage bank and informed them of the Lis Penden on my home. I had applied for a refinance on my home that I was and is pre-qualified for a refinance. The loan application was denied by the bank. I am currently paying a high interest rate on the mortgage. The attorney that filed a law suit was a Partner and Trustee of a law firm in which another Partner of the law firm represented me on the same property on a previous rent matter. The attorney is now working as a Partner of his law firm. Guide me.
