Car Accident Help 2

Lawsuits And Disputes 6 views 6 answers
I was on Southbound Hutch a few weeks back. The car in front of me stopped and I stopped too but the car behind me hit me and forced me to hit car ahead of me...There was a chain reaction involving around 10 cars. Since that accident I have lower back pain and also am kind of scared of driving on highway fearing another car will hit me. My new question is that if the car in front of me sues because I hit her, can I sue the driver behind me for hitting me which caused me to hit the car in front of me? Also, I am struggling to find an attorney (who would return my call)

Yes. It the car in front of you sues you, which is entirely possible, then you will be able to bring a claim against the car that pushed you into them. The more important thing to know is that if you are sued, your insurance company will hire attorneys to protect you - so you should not be overly concerned about this part of the scenario. If you are feeling pain, you should seek medical care. Hopefully you have already done so. You medical bills will be covered under your no fault coverage, which is also through your own car insurance. In order to secure these benefits you must file an application within 30 days I must say that I am surprised that you can not get an attorney to call you back. This site is a good resource to help you find one. Good luck.

Yes You can sue the car that rear ended you. If you were hurt it is important that you obtain the medical treatment that you require. Your no fault insurance will cover most of the treatment related to the accident. If you were not hurt you can still sue but then you may have a problem locating an attorney that is interested in the case. You can locate attorneys here on . Good luck

Mr. Ferrante is correct about finding an attorney using . I suggest that you use the site's search option to find an attorney you feel comfortable with. Your situation is a common one and an attorney on will not have difficulty handling it.

You should be able to find a lawyer to speak to you about a hit in the rear case. Ultimately, you will need to prove "serious injury" as defined by the Insurance Law. I suggest that you try using the Find A Lawyer tab on as the rules do not allow the lawyers to solicit you 3

Assuming there are what the law defines as a threshold injury, expect everyone to be sued. The law requires that. Report this to your insurance company. Most attorneys, at least the responsible ones, call back, and call back promptly. Good luck,
