I have NYS license and got reckless driving in NH. Got letter from them stating that license will be suspended. Will my license be suspended in NYS and if yes, how long after NH suspension

States share DMV records however, while the NH Court had the ability to suspend your driving privileges in NH they do not have the authority to take your NYS drivers license. In NYS if you receive 11 points or more your driving privileges are suspended and a reckless driving violation is 5 points. If you are convicted of a traffic violation in another state or country, points are not added to your New York State driving record, unless the violation occurred in Ontario or Quebec.

Yes, NYS will suspend you once the DMV receives notice from NH. It is hard to say how long it will take for the paperwork to catch up.

A New Hampshire court does not have jurisdiction over your New York State license, but can suspend or revoke your privilege to drive in New Hampshire. The information relative to a New Hampshire conviction will be shared with New York DMV, and evaluated in addition to any NY infractions/convictions and points, and New York will make a determination regarding the validity of your license here. The DMV website might have more information.

As long as not a suspension for not answering NYS generally does not suspend.
