Hi I got cell phone ticket, for just holding cell phone in my hand, not even talking or texting, comments just say cell phone.

Cop ran my license and said that since it's clean he said that he will not give any points, just pay the fine. Is that legit? I'm also waiting to see ticket online, but it is not appearing after 10 days, what are my options here. I'm willing to pay fine if no points?

What section of the VTL does the ticket allege you violated? Any cell-phone ticket issued after June 1st, 2013, is FIVE (5) points. It may be, however, that the officer gave you a ticket for something else instead, in which case it may be a no point offense.

A cell phone ticket is 5 points and there is no plea bargaining in NYC Traffic Court. You may want to hire a lawyer.
