What determines liability?

Lawsuits And Disputes 2 views 3 answers
One defendant was stealing my money for 10 years using fiduciary fraud. Another discovered it and wanted in on the action and stole it too for a few years (hiding the original crime). Do they both share liability? Does the later one have less liability (he stole less money and years after the first one)?

The both have civil liability if the statute of limitations has not expired and they both have criminal culpability if the statute of limitations has not expired.

Both defendants will have liability. As my colleague succinctly states, there might be Statute of Limitations issue.
