my son was kicked out of a residential center because he hit another man. This was a center that accepts individuals with behavioral problems. This agency that protect the rights of those with disabilities is where the attorney work.. All I wanted from the attorney was to help me report the owner to where she got her license from because she did not go to the proper channels to have my son evicted. She just put him out on the street after he was placed their by the hospital staff. This attorney said this was a case for the fair housing and that I had two years to take this to the federal court. Because of this advice from the attorney my one year has passed. I feel that this is a wrongful eviction case. He said that the lady did not do anything wrong in the way she evicted my son.

That attorney is not liable because you waited too long to take action. You were free at any time to seek your own legal counsel. That attorney did not represent you in any capacity and is not responsible for your failure to pursue any claim you may have had, if you had one at all.
