Can a location discrepancy on a speeding ticket be means for dismissal?

If the officer/trooper signed their name under the statement of "stopping the subject at the above location" is not actually where they made or initiated the stop, is this grounds for dismissal? For instance, they put on the ticket mile post 12, but didn't stop there, stopped at mile post 8.

Doubt that discrepancy will result in a dismissal. You'll need a better defense than that.

On these facts, it would not be reason for a dismissal. However, there may be other things about the ticket that you may be able to challenge. Call an attorney. Don't discuss what you did or didn't do on or other social media.

If these mileposts are in different counties it could mean that can't prove it happened in the county it's filed in. Other than that? Probably makes no difference.
