What do I say the judge when I go to traffic court today for a cell phone ticket to increase my chances of being not guilty?

I would like to know exactly what they want to hear, word for word to get the most leniency. I would appreciate it very much.

If you want to increase your chances of getting a not guilty then hire an attorney. If you go without one and are looking for leniency, what you say probably won't have much affect other than making it worse if you are rude. They will likely base any offer or setnence on your driving record and the facts at hand.

Hire a traffic attorney. There is no word for word script. It will always vary. A good lawyer who regularly practices in traffic court there will know the judges, and know the prosecutor, and may well have a good idea what each one wants to hear- the key may be getting them to advise you what to do before court, and you being willing to do those things.

No attorney can tell you what to say. Get an attorney to deal with citation.
