I've waited 5 extra years when I could have tried to get my license back after a year because of anxiety. Will I get it back?

It's my 2nd DUI in 7 years but like I said, I could have tried to get it back in 2010 but I've been scared to. How long will it take to be heard by Secretary of State panel and the wait it usually takes to get it back?

The better question is "have I done the right things to get my license back. I suggest that you consult with an experienced attorney about preparing your case before you file anything. With some strategic planning, you will be in a really good position to get your license back. Attorney John English has had a lot of success and he is on this web site. I am sure there are others as well.

I agree that you need to look at the requirements for getting your license back and evaluate whether or not you have met those requirements. There are many great lawyers out there who have experience with this and I would recommend contacting the state bar of Michigan referral service, or use avvo's find a lawyer tool. Best of luck.

I do not have a crystal ball as to whether you've completed the requirements to get your driving privileges back. I suggest you contact an attorney who can evaluate what needs to be done and give you targeted advice as to your options.
