put simple, evidence was thrown out so i couldn't use them in my defense. was constantly slandered by the judge the every court proceeding. i was guilty right from the start even after they had no evidence. forced me into a plea bargain. i can go deeper into details if need be. was convicted in NJ.

If you plead, you now stand almost no chance of bringing a successful civil rights claim. Did you defend yourself? Pro se? Best way to know for sure, meet and speak with a New Jersey civil rights attorney.

You should speak with a new jersey criminal attorney (there are many in philadelphia who are licensed in nj). If you are questioning the p reclusive of evidence in relation to a plea bargain, your appeal rights are limited and you must act extremely quickly to appeal. With respect to any slander or civil rights aspects, the record would need to be reviewed to see if there is any bias or false information that has been disseminated. Meet promptly with a licensed new jersey attorney

It is not a civil rights case if you plead guilty. The way to have a civil rights case in a malicious prosecution type case is to prevail on the criminal charges. In other words, you have to win, either by jury verdict, dismissal of the charges, or on appeal. The judge's rulings, right or wrong, can never be the basis of a civil rights case; they can only be the basis of an appeal. The prosecutor also has absolute prosecutorial immunity, in almost all cases.

20 years practicing criminal law and although I like to think I'm persuasive, I have never been able to "force" someone to plead guilty.
