Question regarding the traffic point showing on my driving record

Hi. I have question regarding my driving record. Recently, I decided to apply for a shuttle bus driver job, which requires a H6 record from the DMV. I noticed that there is ONE traffic point showing on the record due to "fail to stop at red arrow signal" that happened to me half a year ago. However, the ticket was dismissed after I handed in a written declaration to the supreme court. If the ticket gets dismissed, does it mean that I'm not guilty for the certain infraction and should my point be removed from the H6 record?? Thank you for your time.

If the ticket was dismissed you should have no point on your record. I am somewhat confused with your" written declaration to the supreme court".

I agree with the previous answer and would just caution you that the DMV and the courts are separate entities and do not always follow the others' happenings. I'd take a copy of the dismissal and submit it to the person responsible for reviewing driving records for errors.

You may also want to check with the court that had your original citation. I have seen where the clerks fail to correctly enter the information from the court into the computer system that notifies DMV of what happened in court. If there is a mistake there, it should be easy for the court clerks to fix for you.
